This is because Group "A" TX's use the sticks differently from Group "B".
It is most important to note, that when ordering you must select the correct operating program.
Or, tell us which brand of 2.4 GHz R/C you will be using.
RCS - BELTROL ESC's ARE DESIGNED FOR ADVANCED OPERATION
& ALL FEATURE:
|
● EASY SCREW TERMINAL INSTALLATION. |
Five channels of a 5/6 Channel R/C are required for operation.
WHAT THE TX LEVERS ACTUALLY DO.
The Elevator stick controls Direction set with a press & release for forwards or reverse. Variable momentum control allows precise application of Brake Apply & Brake Release.
The Throttle stick provides digital proportional control of the locomotive speed.
The Aileron & Rudder sticks control 4 x Momentary or Latch ON-OFF accessory functions such as Whistle/Horn & Bell, Notch 8/Drift and Dynamic brake/Blowdown etc.
The Ch # 5 switch (or knob) fitted to most 2.4 GHz R/C systems is used for programming various features such as speed calibration, default direction, Momentary or Latching ON - OFF sound triggers, loco speed matching & system re-set.
The Ch # 6 switch (or knob) fitted to some 2.4 GHz R/C systems is spare and could be used to control other accessories such as uncoupling servos & to turn lights ON - OFF etc. (May require optional extra # DEC-ADPT).

Notes: |
The RCS - BELTROL ESC’s have an LED on the decoder pcb & directional constant brightness lighting outputs.
When the loco & TX have been switched ON, these lights show that the TX and RX have recognised each other.
The lights are also used for speed calibrating and programming the system options.

BATTERY VOLTAGE:
All battery packs state a NOMINAL voltage on the pack.
When freshly charged the actual voltage can exceed the NOMINALvoltage.
eg. An 18 volt Ni-Cd pack can read 24 volts when fully charged.
RCS takes into account the excess voltage when batteries are freshly charged when listing what is the maximum voltage you can use.
Likewise the NOMINAL voltage also takes into account the likely voltage drop when discharging.
It is the NOMINALvoltage on the battery pack that is the maximum & minimum voltage you can use.
The pcb’s have appropriate heat sinking. A cooling fan may be required for use at higher voltages & temperatures.
SEE THE ACCESSORIES LIST FOR INFORMATION ON RCS LOCO INSTALLATION KITS & BATTERIES.
PLEASE NOTE.
RCS - BELTROL DOES NOT PROVIDE PRINTED INSTRUCTIONS FOR ESC'S UNLESS SPECIFICALLY ASKED TO DO SO.
PDF instruction booklets are available for the brand of R/C being used + FIVE different sound systems.
